Potential-Love

Very few humans don't desire to have in their life that one person to share life with. But fear has tremendous power and our hearts are our most precious and vulnerable part, which we guard and protect above all else. There are a number of aspects with fear involving one's heart: fear of rejection, fear of one's heart being used and abused, fear of ridicule and rejection from family, friends, and peers are likely the most prevalent.

Fear traps a person into a "safe zone", believing safe is better than taking a risk, especially when their heart's state of being is at stake. But just because they are in the "safe zone", they aren't likely in a "happy zone" if their heart has a burning, unfulfilled desire within.

Then if you add into the equation self esteem issues, lack of confidence in oneself, equaling insecurity, fear gains the upper hand that much easier. Ego loves fear and uses fear against one whenever possible. A person may project confidence but if they aren't really, their ego has assumed control. True confidence is when humility is present. Arrogance is ego's version of confidence, substituting arrogance for confidence, but underneath, within, an arrogant person is very insecure and they live in fear, mostly because they don't want others to learn, find out, what/how they really perceive themselves to be, which is a low opinion of themselves for one or more reasons, which their ego reinforces and uses as leverage to gain control.

A person's ego will make a person believe that who they are for real isn't good enough, so they need their ego to paint a better picture of themselves, which is then projected as their real self. Being a projection, they're dependent upon how others perceive them, which makes them need validation by others but at the same time will deny they do. Since ego paints a false picture its host is believing, the person accepts the lying to/about themselves, removing as well, the need to cultivate courage, which can only help ego to use fear even more against the person. As long as one's ego is in charge, their ego will keep them trapped in a state of fear.

Therefore, should they take a risk with their heart and get rejected, they are seriously crushed on a few levels. Not only do they have their heart, their feelings within, hurt, but also their pride, ego's illusion of, is shattered when they have to face how they really perceive themselves as lowly, which their ego has convinced them is true to convince them to rely on their ego. Ego encourages denial by offering an easy way out through deception, conning its persuaded host they need to rely on their ego, making them easily manipulated by it as well.

Realities are extremely hard to face and bear and when combined, excruciating, and especially so when a person is accustomed to being deceived and manipulated by their ego. Truth in itself can be tough to handle, but truth uncovering betrayal, especially of oneself, is brutal. Rejection is just one reality an ego driven person isn't equipped to handle very well for reasons explained.

No one is exempt of the possibility of their heart getting hurt but a truly confident person, who knows and is okay with their real self and not dependent upon their ego's illusions, doesn't also have to deal with being double whammied with betrayal of self on top of a hurt heart. A truly confident person is more inclined to take a risk because they know their character has a solid foundation in real and not in a wishy-washy, ego based, state of illusion in need of approval or validation by others.

Our egos, when allowed to control us, can hold us back a whole lot more than many, perhaps most, realise; can make us seem infallible when we are in fact, fallible; and convince us we are worthless when in fact, we have value. Basically, our egos are deceptive and unreliable. We all have an ego but the secret is to learn to control it and not let our ego control us to keep us from fulfillment, attaining our fullest potential, and pursuing our dreams and our heart's desire. ♥

Peacemakers

A peacemaker seeks to resolve issues and uses truth to do so because a peacemaker knows all those involved can't really put an unresolved issue behind them and move forward. A person who likes and thrives on dissension and drama, a trouble maker and/or advocate for trouble, will do everything they can to keep the dissension and drama going, even accuse a person seeking resolution of being the troublemaker, especially if there are lies being covered up. 

I am all too familiar with 'drama feeders' and the lying, manipulation, stonewalling, etc. that are practiced in the evading of topics that expose the truth about the opposition. One website in particular comes to mind that's a hotbed of such a type of drama feeding, backstabbing people going all the way to the top, the owner/programmer. I was put through hell there but I've gained from the experience a wealth of information and material that no book or set of books could EVER teach me about the lower forms of humans in the conscienceless sector.

Money in and of itself is not evil. But when we "lust for" money and the possessions and power money buys, THIS is where the evil is. When we "lust for" anything, indulge ourselves to the extreme, become obsessed with anything (or anyone), this is when a healthy desire turns into a very unhealthy one. One of the best rules of thumb is: "Everything in moderation". Humans aren't good with 'moderation' because when humans develop a fondness for something, even someone, the fondness or fetish is carried into the extreme zone and then humans become "addicted" and controlled 'by the addiction'. Addiction occurs when a person becomes dependent upon, controlled by whatever it is they've developed an extreme, unhealthy "lust for". It can be alcohol, gambling, drugs, money, sex, food, another person, etc., etc.. When addicted, people will do most anything to satisfy it, including compromising and lessening themselves, in various ways. The lust/addiction takes over and the person affected becomes powerless to fight it. ♥

I'll never be able to understand why many people choose to leave issues unresolved; choose to deliberately be stubborn and pigheaded so issues can't be resolved and usually it's because there have been mistakes made and wrongs done on their part they are unwilling to own up to. I'm a firm believer that any problem/issue can be resolved/worked out but if only one side is willing and the other side refuses, there's not much the willing side can do. Some people thrive on dissension and drama. Yet, these people are the ones who cry and complain the most and the loudest about drama and ongoing conflicts. ♥

Being-Forgiving

There is a misconception in regards to the act of forgiving. When we forgive another, we benefit ourselves because by forgiving another person of a transgression, we "free ourselves" from the burden.

Many folks believe that when another is forgiven, the person forgiven is then let off the hook, so to speak, but this is not the case because the one forgiven is still left to carry the burden of guilt and they have no longer a hold over the forgiver. Hence, a transgressor who has wronged another, must forgive themselves to "free themselves".

To reach the place of forgiving self, there are steps of accountability one must take to reach this place. First, a person feeling guilty because of something wrong they've done, must "voluntarily" acknowledge/admit to themselves they did wrong; they made a mistake. Second, they have to confess they have to the one or ones they've wronged, if possible, and third, if possible, apologise "sincerely without excuses". Fourth, they have to make an honest and sincere attempt to right the wrong, make restitution, and/or take steps to show they've learned from their mistake(s) to prevent making the same again. Once these steps of accountability have been completed, the person seeking self forgiveness and freedom from guilt, will reach and obtain the forgiving of self and freedom. 

Note: Forced accountability is not the same as voluntary accountability. When a person is forced to be accountable, they may or may not truly within themselves to themselves admit their mistake or wrongdoing. If they do not, then usually there's tacked on in addition to guilt (likely denial of), bitterness, resentment, and even vengeance, which results in a person who is miserable and such people want everyone else to be as miserable as they are.

Voluntary accountability is NOT a pleasant or easy process. It requires real courage or guts as some would say and one has to "humble themselves", which means completely letting go of their ego and their ego fed pride. But it's not supposed to be easy or some joyride, because if it was pleasant and/or easy, there would be no learning and we'd be doomed to repeat the wrong again. Our character can't grow to become a better person if we learn no lessons and when lessons are particularly hard to bear, we aren't likely to forget the hard lessons learned and aren't therefore, going to be too keen on doing wrong in the future knowing the painful consequences to right or try to right a wrong.

Once you've gone through with the process and come clean, the reward of having the heavy burden of guilt lifted is indescribable, leaving you wondering why you didn't do it sooner. Since there are many folks who don't or won't forgive, who cling fiercely to their grudges, when you go through the pre-described process to forgive yourself, whether another or others forgive you or not, will not matter nor should it because we have no dominion over others' actions and behaviours, only our own. When we KNOW truly in our heart of hearts that we've done what's right, we need no validation of from anyone whatsoever. ♥
