Our-Demons

Greetings and welcome!

We all have demons within us that we have to learn how to minimise them and put them in proper perspective so they aren't a detriment to our being, our character. We can't, however, deal with them if we refuse to first acknowledge their existence. Humans tend to put off dealing with anything that's unpleasant and so, think if unpleasantness is ignored, it will somehow magically work itself out but nothing ever gets resolved by ignoring it, whatever it may be.

Our demons within we hide from sight."

Unspoken-Love

Greetings and welcome!

When we're attracted to someone, it takes a lot of courage to tell them how we feel about them, if we don't know how they feel about us. It's the unknown we fear the most. But if we never get up the courage to tell them, we can't ever know if they are the one. So often two people lose/waste years that they could have been sharing their life with because of fear of how they would be received by the one they're attracted to.

There is no guarantee with most everything in life. Every new adventure in life comes with some amount of risk, some amount of doubt and uncertainty. But it's the very first step, the very first move, that is the most difficult, most SCARY and matters of the heart, where our feelings and emotions are all wrapped up in, are the SCARIEST of all! If this first step, first move, isn't taken though, nothing can commence. So, any 'might have been' gets locked in as a 'never can be'.

Speaking on the whole, overall and understandably because of centuries of men being taught from childhood that showing feelings and emotions is a sign of weakness, men find the first step VERY difficult when it involves their heart and the emotions that come with it. Since so many men like to avoid dealing with their emotions as much as possible or like to keep them under their strict, well guarded control, hidden and locked away if possible, feeling attracted to someone with a romantic flavour really stirs those feelings and emotions up, making them difficult to control and keep close vested and then too, comes the vulnerable feeling. Men on the whole do not want or like to feel vulnerable. Not knowing if they can 'trust' the one who is stirring their emotions up, the one who's gotten their heart's attention, makes the whole experience uncomfortable and petrifying. Then add on the fear of being shot down if they dare let the cat out of the bag and you have as a result, a man who often decides he'd rather be safe than sorry. But 'safe' will never help him to fill a void in his heart.

Personally, I have a great deal of respect for a man who faces and lets his real feelings show because I know how much courage it takes for a man to do so and it's a good sign of a man being secure with himself.

"If we fail to say how we feel,
Away from us, time may steal,
Another chance to let one know
How much they're Loved and so,
Our chance for True Love may be gone,
Forever lost from us to dawn."

Potential-Love

Greetings and welcome!

Very few humans don't desire to have in their life that one person to share life with. But fear has tremendous power and our hearts are our most precious and vulnerable part, which we guard and protect above all else. There are a number of aspects with fear involving one's heart: fear of rejection, fear of one's heart being used and abused, fear of ridicule and rejection from family, friends, and peers are likely the most prevalent.

Fear traps a person into a "safe zone", believing safe is better than taking a risk, especially when their heart's state of being is at stake. But just because they are in the "safe zone", they aren't likely in a "happy zone" if their heart has a burning, unfulfilled desire within.

Then if you add into the equation self esteem issues, lack of confidence in oneself, equaling insecurity, fear gains the upper hand that much easier. Ego loves fear and uses fear against one whenever possible. A person may project confidence but if they aren't really, their ego has assumed control. True confidence is when humility is present. Arrogance is ego's version of confidence, substituting arrogance for confidence, but underneath, within, an arrogant person is very insecure and they live in fear, mostly because they don't want others to learn, find out, what/how they really perceive themselves to be, which is a low opinion of themselves for one or more reasons, which their ego reinforces and uses as leverage to gain control.

A person's ego will make a person believe that who they are for real isn't good enough, so they need their ego to paint a better picture of themselves, which is then projected as their real self. Being a projection, they're dependent upon how others perceive them, which makes them need validation by others but at the same time will deny they do. Since ego paints a false picture its host is believing, the person accepts the lying to/about themselves, removing as well, the need to cultivate courage, which can only help ego to use fear even more against the person. As long as one's ego is in charge, their ego will keep them trapped in a state of fear.

Therefore, should they take a risk with their heart and get rejected, they are seriously crushed on a few levels. Not only do they have their heart, their feelings within, hurt, but also their pride, ego's illusion of, is shattered when they have to face how they really perceive themselves as lowly, which their ego has convinced them is true to convince them to rely on their ego. Ego encourages denial by offering an easy way out through deception, conning its persuaded host they need to rely on their ego, making them easily manipulated by it as well.

Realities are extremely hard to face and bear and when combined, excruciating, and especially so when a person is accustomed to being deceived and manipulated by their ego.
Truth in itself can be tough to handle, but truth uncovering betrayal, especially of oneself, is brutal. Rejection is just one reality an ego driven person isn't equipped to handle very well for reasons explained.

No one is exempt of the possibility of their heart getting hurt but a truly confident person, who knows and is okay with their real self and not dependent upon their ego's illusions, doesn't also have to deal with being double whammied with betrayal of self on top of a hurt heart. A truly confident person is more inclined to take a risk because they know their character has a solid foundation in real and not in a wishy-washy, ego based, state of illusion in need of approval or validation by others.

Our egos, when allowed to control us, can hold us back a whole lot more than many, perhaps most, realise; can make us seem infallible when we are in fact, fallible; and convince us we are worthless when in fact, we have value. Basically, our egos are deceptive and unreliable. We all have an ego but the secret is to learn to control it and not let our ego control us to keep us from fulfillment, attaining our fullest potential, and pursuing our dreams and our heart's desire.

"Potential Love denied the chance to materialise and grow
Because of fear within a heart to let their feelings show,
Except for in their dreams where their desire is met,
Is truly a sad tale of emptiness with the promise of regret."

REAL-Pain

Greetings and welcome!

Some of the strongest and most inspirational people are those who have suffered tremendously painful experiences, whether by/through great personal loss or abuse or both AND still maintain a positive outlook on life, without bitterness and resentment in their hearts. These people are truly remarkable souls.

"Another's REAL pain we can never know,
Because the pain within doesn't show.
There's no pain greater than the pain within
A soul must deal with again and again."

"Souls most broken know REAL pain
Surreally so, but strength they gain
As they learn to shine ever so bright
Though storms may come to steal their Light."

True-Beauty

Greetings and welcome from Artsieladie!

Inner beauty, strength, and value is not "gender specific". Both a man and a woman can "choose" to be, have, and project these.

So often, as I wander around Facebook and other social sites, seeing the posts of my friends and on many pages, I see many shares about the beauty and so forth of women. Don't get me wrong, however. I'm not criticising this. But.. there are also many good and yes, beautiful men, not just or mainly women. ..And so, in all fairness, I would like to see more credit given to good men as well. The true beauty of a "person" is their inner beauty, in their strengths and in their values.

There is an inner beauty, strength and value about a person:
- Who believes in, accepts, likes, and respects themselves, which enables them to do and be likewise with others.
- Who knows themselves, acknowledging both their pluses and their minuses.
- Who chooses empathy over apathy in regards to others.
- Who knows they are capable of anything they put their mind to.
- Who forges and follows their own path, rather than blindly following along behind others.
- Who is not thrown off by obstacles along the way, including by others who are determined to deter them.
- Who's reasoning and intelligence comes from experience and lessons learned therefrom.
- Who knows they can fall, can fail, but can and do pick themselves back up again and move forward as an 'improved'... "work in progress".
- Who, knowing they themselves can and do make mistakes from which they themselves learn from, accept that others must also be afforded the same courtesy.
- Who takes a stand and then stands by it, especially when tested.
- Who realises their own inner beauty, strengths, and values, can and will intimidate others who only wish for the same to be present within themselves.
- Who’s confidence is the result of... all of the aforementioned.

"One's Inner Strength and Value
Is One's Inner and True Beauty."
