To truly listen and pay attention to what's being stated, we have to be silent. We cannot be talking while another is speaking and still be able to give our full and complete attention to what they are saying nor can we do likewise if we're thinking about what we're going to say when they are finished. Yet, many people do exactly these things and then they only pick up on part of what was said and quite often miss crucial parts that lead to miscommunication in one form or another. ♥
